MAURICIO CALLEJAS“Mauricio Callejas’ music is beauty personified, the colors, shapes and sounds he paints of his native home El Salvador transport you to a place you won’t soon want to leave. I am very honored to be part his record” -Stephen Doster, Producer.

Mauricio Callejas’ music is influenced by popular rhythms of his native El Salvador and the rest of Latin America with special emphasis in Central America music. His compositions are meaningful and touching, they are blended with rhythms that delight the audiences and invite them to discover. Cumbia, Latin Jazz, Parranda, Salsa, Calypso are just a few of the elements in the variety of his repertoire. http://mauriciocallejas.com/

LETICIA RODRIGUEZ is an enchanting and energetic Latin World music singer and performer. As a performer, she is cultured, sophisticated, and well educated, compelling her audiences to dance and sing. Ms. Rodriguez comes from an extended family of singer/songwriters. Her aunt, internationally renowned singer, Eva Garza, was one of the first Latina crossover artists from Decca Records (Columbia). Her history and family includes many performing artists, making her entire life an education in the arts.

In October of 2012, Rodriguez will release her first CD, La Americana, redefining the experience of American music. Bringing forth music of her Aunt Eva Garza along with selected composers and music representative of Mexico, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Argentina and the United States. http://leticiarodriguezperforms.com/

Son Mentiras Spanish for “It’s not true” or more literal “Those are lies”. Based on a Central American rhythm called “Central American Son” is a song that talks about how we have always been the target of corporate and official lies, so much that we have taken them as true, this song reminds us the contrary.

It is really courageous to pretend that I will come up with an accurate list of credits, because there are so many people that participated during the process, but I take the challenge not without stating that “If you do not see your name in this list, feel free to say it out loud on my wall and I will fix the mistake a.s.a.p. sorry for the inconvenience ”

The task of acknowledging everyone involved in the making of “Helado Pop” started long time ago, as I had to do so for the CD insert, but now after the CD release party, the list seems that it just got bigger; so I want to start with the addendum.

Addendum:

I want to thank in particular two friends
